New X23B Owner!
Well, my wife and I did it. We traded in our beloved 2012 X17Z and bought a beautiful 2015 X23B. While we loved the X17Z, it was a comprise for us as we were towing with a Honda Pilot.
We upgraded our TV in March and started thinking about a dual axle unit. After doing all the research, we decided upon the X23B. Because we experienced the Jayco quality in the 17Z, we didn't even look for any other brands. We knew we were sticking with Jayco and we knew we wanted a hybrid. We are amazed at the room in the 23B -- we could play handball in there.
We bought our new trailer at Bryant's RV in Dallas, PA. Great people there and we had a fantastic buying experience. While going over the trailer with the dealer, I was surprised at how many upgrades Jayco has made since 2012. Interior and Exterior LED lighting, dual electric/LP hot water heater, remote water heater lighting and I love how the spare tire is now lowered like the spare on my truck. The new colors are great, too.
The trailer tracked well behind our RAM 1500 and we got about the same gas mileage as we did with the 17Z.
We are very excited and can't wait to take her out. We are leaving shortly for a 5 day trip to Vermont, so we are counting down the days.

Congrats also! We too have a 2006 23b and love it, one thing it seems I have learned is if you can keep your unit under covered storage when not in use it is huge on their wear and tear.

Congratulations! Looks like a nice upgrade, and should give you all the space (and storage) you need for a long time.
Enjoy!

Thanks everyone. We just finished adding little things to the trailer today to make it ready for its maiden trip. Can't wait.

Actually, we do keep it under a a portable car port. So it is covered when not in use. We (Allamuchy Joe & I) really like the way the cover keeps the exterior clean. And it is nice not to have to wash it prior to every trip out like we used to with the popup we had

Congrats - The wife and i are about to pull the trigger on a new 2014 x23B that the dealer here has marked down. I wonder if those new features apply to a 2014 as well.
How much below MSRP is normal. We are NEWBIES fro Ca which puts us at a disadvantage for sure. The MSRP on NADA for the 2014 is 23,500. The dealer is asking 19,995........do you think there is room to haggle? Is that ball park what you paid? I might start a thread with this question to everyone on the forum.
Congrats again!!!

Congrats!! We just purchased our first TT and went with the 2014 X23B as well and had our first trip last weekend. I wish they went with the LED lights in the 2014. Here is a tip on the Hot H2O tank, turn the LP and Electric switch on about 10min before a shower and you will almost burn yourself because of how hot the water gets! I speak from experience on this one .

@Brownjm - The dealer told me that the only difference between the 2014 and the 2015 was color on inside........your 14 does not have LED lights?

Nope...I am currently working on converting the interior lights to LED and I have already converted the exterior marker lights to LED.

I just purchased a new 2014 x23b that was marked down to $16,995. The MSRP was 24 or 25K.

Cover
Going to jump in here and hope for the best. We have a 2014 23b and no where to keep it out of the elements. Does anyone use a cover? What kind, do you have problems with ripping, do you need to cover every corner or edge to keep from tearing?

During the camping season I do not cover mine. I do cover it though when I winterize it with an ADCO cover

We use a car canopy in the summer and a cover in the winter. I don't have a picture of our 23B yet, but here is a picture of our former X17Z under the canopy. The canopy definitely helps keep the camper cleaner.
We bought a 10 x 20 foot regular car canopy and extended the legs by 2' with PVC pipe. It was an inexpensive way to keep the trailer clean. The picture shows when we first used it -- now, it is pretty dirty -- but the trailer is not! :-)
