New to TT/Hybrids....wondering what eveyone uses to clean outside of camper, including the awning and pop-out beds.

Bunk ends, dawn dish soap and water. I use my long handled car wash brush.

Awning, spray it with "simple green" or "spray power" roll it up for 20-30 minutes. Un roll and scrub with car wash brush, rinse well with plain water.

Black streaks "simple green" or "spray power" Spray it on wash off with car wash brush.

I really like spray power full strength, it removes most of the bugs off the front cap without scrubbing.

I personally use 4U cleaner for everything top to bottom. Used it for years and have never found a better overall cleaner...

I have used "Simple Green" for years on everything and it works great and doesn't fade anything. Works great on those black streaks from the rain gutters. Rinse, Spray Simple Green, brush to bubbles and rinse off!!

I use automotive soap. Dawn dish washing liquid is too concentrated and will remove the wax finish.

I use a bleach and water mix on the awning. 4 to 1 ratio.

Meguiar's car wax every 6 months.

I have always used automotive wash liquid, because it's very mild. Dawn is awesome at cleaning, but it can be harsh. I also use the automotive wash on the awning, and my Carefree awning on my toy hauler I sold last year was in great shape after 15 years. Solid as a rock. I probably washed the awning with that soap once a year. The rest of the time, I simply rinsed it off, and let it dry completely before rolling it up.

I waxed our hybrid with Meguiar's Flagship Premium Marine Wax every six months. Washed it with Meguiar's Car Wash Soap. Cleaned the tent ends and awning with Dawn since I wasn't worried about stripping any wax from them. When I sold it after 4-1/2 years the exterior still looked like new.

Awesome....thanks everyone for their response. One last question....any cleaning supplies you recommend staying away from?

I wax mine twice a year with a carnuba and just use regular car wash soap to wash it with. In my opinion the best thing you can do is keep a nice coat of wax on it at all times. I also wash the roof twice a year with a camco roof cleaner and clean the gutters. If you keep your roof and gutters clean you won't get the black streaks down the sides. As far as the awning, I use a camco awning spray and just wipe it off with a dry towel.
I would try to stay away from anything with harsh chemicals. Things like degreasers and solvents.

For the bunk ends, if you are going to use anything harsh and stripping like Dawn, make sure you treat with a water proofing spray more regularly. Even with gentle cleaning products, the bunk ends should be sprayed every few years. Note that there are different products depending on the type of material. Our 1007 pup ends were a combo of Duratek (main panels) and canvas (window panels) and there are different water proofing compounds for each.

We found that after the first couple of years, the tent ends would "mist" during a really heavy downpour - you could feel the water atomizing as it broke through the micro pores in the material. Water proofing should seal these micro-pores up and stop this kind of water infiltration.
