Outside speakers

I would like to install outdoor speakers to my 2014 19xud. Has anyone ever done this to their trailer. I know how to wire them to the stereo but want to know about drilling the holes and running the wires to the stereo. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I thought of doing that too, but was concerned about creating another entry point for water. I found that using a wireless outdoor speaker has more flexibility and better sound quality. I have two kinds - a Rocketfish unit that has a transmitter that connects to the RV stereo through the RCA/headphone jack, and a BOSE bluetooth unit that syncs to any smartphone or tablet.

Checking a site such as Crutchfield for wireless outdoor speakers would be best, as you could place the speaker anywhere within "earshot" of the radio, then move it back into the camper when done for safety.

Here are a couple of fun wireless Bluetooth options: "Rock" Speakers and Water Resistant Speakers. Both can run on batteries.
