Knickerbocker do you have a trip set or are you campin' in the driveway? We are taking our 23B out on our first official trip this weekend. Not sure if you saw your TT yet, but we did a walk around and found a few minor issues that the dealer fixed. The panel for the heat wouldn't close very easy so they tweaked that for me plus the lower trim at the back of the TT had two screws that were popped on both the left and right that they fixed as well. Hope the rest of the week goes fast enough!

Driveway camping the first weekend while we do the prep work. Then the maiden voyage is 20 minutes from our house.

We bought a 2012 23B this past winter. We have had it out a few times, it pulls like a dream, my truck just feels like I have a heavy load in the bed.

I have two modifications I would recommend. Remove the drawer under the dinette. I attached the original face plate to a piano hinge for a nice interior access and removed all the protective paneling. It makes for a very nice front cargo hold .

The second mod, add shelves to second wardrobe cabinet. I used metal linen shelving. We each (3 of us) have a shelf for our cloths and one more for towels.

I will probably take some pics and post them this next week (she is in for some warranty work right now ).

You will love the TT.

1x on the X23B. We bought ours this past fall and love it. We're departing Thursday for a long weekend in Port Aransas TX which is about 200 miles. So far our trips have been about this distance except for the trip to pick it up (Orlando-Houston).
So far it's been really reliable with only little issues that I deal with myself.
Hit the road!

We picked it up and it is awesome. I have some slight adjusting to do on my WDH, but it towed pretty well. We had a weekend of driveway camping and the first trip is coming up shortly with five trips planned in July and August.

My kids love it.

I take my new 23B for our inaugural run on Friday for a long weekend. Thanks jagiven, I'll be making the drawer and wardrobe modifications.

Enjoy your new 23B!

Innagural Run

So my first camping trip was spectacular this past Father’s Day weekend. We had perfect human weather. Knoebels Campground does not have full hookups so I used the gravity fill for the water when we pulled in. First time camping with a travel trailer so I had no idea 30 gallons of water would be used so fast. I ended up buying a funnel and tube, and then started filling the fresh water tank with a 5 gallon collapsible container. We made several trips to put 15 gallons in the tank just so that we could wash dishes and use the toilet for the last day we were there. The black and grey tanks were roughly half full before I added more water . Now I know that I have to conserve when we don't have city connection. Other than that, everything went very smoothly. Can't wait for Myrtle Beach for our next camping trip in late July where we will have full hookups in the KOA.

Gcmcal68, I am glad all went well. Congratulations on your first trip. I do remind my kid on every trip about watching how much water he uses washing his hands. I believe in water conservation when camping. I hate hauling water.
