Popout stitch repair

I have a 2013 X23B. Before I put her away in storage for the winter I was folding up one of the popouts and the inside brace wasn't all the way down causing me to rip about two inches of stitching. Should I take it to an upholstery shop for repair or will the dealer cost be close to the same?

Take it to the upolstery shop since the dealer will take it off and probably take it to the same shop and add about 100% mark-up.

Or if you live in an area that is big in boating find a boat top canvas shop, they have the heavy duty machines and can fix you right up. As Grumpy said the dealer will just send it out and add a nice profit to the bill.

That's what I did when the stitching began to unravel on one of the bunk end corners on our old Starcraft hybrid. I fiddled around with some leather working in my younger days, and still have the stitching awl. Just follow the existing holes, take your time, and it'll look like new.
