Problems with Starcraft TravelStar RBS 237 rear bunk end

Was wondering if any one has ever had a problem with their hybrid rear bunk end both sides of rear bunk. The canvas material being pulled tight where their canvas attaches near the bunk end? It is back at the dealer and they are saying that starcraft company told them the dealer should cut and shim the material to make it work. I know what it looks like and I don't see how this is going to fix the problem. Brand new camper. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

No, no problem on my exp 237 cks- but, if it is under warranty, have them remove the canvas and sent back to the company with a report of the problem...let them deal with it and no cutting away.
