Question on Winegard Antenna
I have a 2005 Jayco Jay Feather X23B. It has the original antenna. I want to add Winegard RVW-395 Sensar IV White DTV/HD TV Antenna as I'm going to install a Samsung HDTV. Has anyone done this, have any suggestions, or a better alternative? I want an easy replacement. I will be a seasonal camper in a wooded campground in Wisconsin. Does anyone else camp in a wooded campsite and what do you use? Also thinking about Dish, but I really would rather not unless it's the only alternative.

Your existing Winegard, if currently working will do just fine on a tv with HD capabilities.

I actually think I get a better picture in my trailer than I do on my plasma HD TV in my home with cable!
I have the Winegard and I can pick up30 stations while camping in the driveway!!

Yes, my standard 2008 model Winegard antenna with the booster powered on gets about 25 channels in the driveway. The antenna I have in the house for cable outages during storms gets about 12 channels.

Not unusual. Cable companies compress the signal to a much higher degree than OTA broadcasters in order to provide those 100's of channels to you.
Since the compression used is "lossy", it degrades the reconstructed picture.
