Quick question about instaling a roof vent with Eternabond

I've removed everything from the roof of my '04 23b so I can replace the wood underneath. I was planning on installing the vents etc with Eternabond tape but want to know if I still need a bead of caulk or something under the vents as well. If I do, what should I use -- and it has to be something I can get at home depot so I can get it done tonight before it rains! Or would it be okay to just put the vent on the TPO, screw it in and tape it down with Eternabond?

EternaBond is the best product by far for sealing seams in my opinion. You need to plan out the best way line up the four strips in regards to the four corner intersections for a perfect seal.

If you use chalk don't use junk from home improvement stores. Some are incompatible with RV roofing, such as any with silicone. Dicor makes the best chalk specifically for RV use in my opinion.

Yes,
Would be fine to install and then trim out with Eternabond

Yes you should butyl tape under the flange of the roof vent or a bead of Proflex caulking. On the Eternabond, I suggest a small bead at any 90-degree edge over the tape (all four corners) to ensure against lifting.

Agree, this would be the best if you have all the correct materials.
Don't use Silicone caulk.

Eternabond should adhere well to the TPO and itself, but have seen minor lifting at edges.

Should be good to go.
