Question replacing couch X23B

I have 2016 X23B. I am thinking about removing the folod down couch and puttin g 2 recliners in that space. The only problem I see is the wheel weolol is back there. This is in the small slideout. Anybody done this? Know of any problems? I really want to try this. Your help is appreciated.

Our X23B had the slide mechanism under the couch. Maybe they've changed the drive system.
Our 5th has to recliners that are free to move around (they don't move while we're pulling). Part of setup is to position them away from the slide wall so they can recline all the way.
I'd suggest taking some careful measurements to see if they will fit the slide for travel (ours store back-to-back almost against the slide wall) and if there is enough room on the slide floor for them when pulled out for "reclining".
I used to joke that I saved the jack-knife bed for people I didn't like.

Yes, it's not the most comfortable thing I've ever seen, to sit on or sleep on. We want something more comfy in that space. There's only the wife and I so no problem with sleeping arrangements.

Did you ever manage to replace the couch? I am looking to do the same.

So with a lot of research I have determined that you can not replace the couch with theater seating unless you do a lot of major changes. The slide out mechanism basically eliminates most options. I am going to try and add new foam and some kind of headrest. I will let you know how it turns out.

X23B couch

I share the same feelings about the comfort of these couches. I have done the research as well and found no great solutions as far as replacement. However, a few simple things I di made a difference. 1st I usually sit on on corner or the other and found a large pillow of some kind in the top corner of the back rest helps change your position. 2nd with that, I have also added a fold down style ottoman to put my feet up on. These two combined make a big difference in how long you can sit more comfortable on one of these. Also the fold down ottoman is great for storage of blankets, or sleeping bags. I think we got it at Target. For sleepingz, you can always add a topper. Anyway hope this helps.
