I like to use a carwash brush, which has an integrated soap reservoir and hooks up to the garden hose. As for frequency, I try for twice a year soap of choice Dawn dish soap.

I use Spic N Span and a long handled car wash brush according to Alpha Systems, LCC instructions.

Any of the already mentioned methods will suffice. Make sure you inspect all seams and roof openings for cracked or lifted caulk. That is what causes more problems than the roof material.

Mt rig has a rear ladder. I use it to get up there all the time. Mine is rated for 250 lbs.
