Roof repair 2003 Kiwi 23b

First time RV owner with question regarding roof repair......we recently purchased a 2003 Jayco 23b Kiwi and want to make sure the roof is sufficiently sealed to keep out any leaks. Previous owner already had one and we do not want a repeat. We are dealing with a TPO roof that has some sort of sealant over the screws on the end caps. Is Eternabond tape the best way to fix/seal or are there any other recommendations out there?
Would the Eternabond go right over the existing sealant or should all the old stuff be removed? Thanks everyone for your input and assistance in helping out a newbie.

I am dealing with the same issue right now. We just bought a 2001 23b. It does still have leaks. I bought a roll of eternabond. I applied silicone caulk not knowing I should not have, so I scraped off the silicone caulk, but left the self leveling caulk that was already on there. I covered the caulk with eternabond tape. It is supposed to rain tomorrow, I will see if what I did works. I still have some sealing to do on the front.

You can use the eternabond right over existing Dicor.. BUT you have to clean it first.. eternabond makes an aerosol cleaner that works great for this..

Thanks for your input darlingtontrio. Did you receive the rain you were expecting and if so, did your repair work out?

Thanks Seann for the info. We have the supplies (tape, cleaner, primer) on order and hope to complete fix when all materials have been received.
