I installed 2 camco vents. They are like the maxxair1 but you can open them in the from to clean. Been using 3 seasons with no issues

Maxair II. Work like a champ. Open from the top to clean.

Perhaps one of the best upgrades that we have done so far was to have replaced the little stock fan with a Fantastic Fan and a Fantastic Vent Ultra Breeze Vent Cover which incidentally does come in black. And no mods were required to fit the cover to avoid fouling the vent pipe.

This is what I got too. I was going to order the fancy one and saw this at Wal-Mart at a great price. Cheap, easy to install and does what I want.

Just went to install the Maxx Air Flow but was disappointed to find that with it on my vent would only open about half way. Seems like the Maxx Air ll might be in order. Think it has a little more depth. Then I thinking, the vent is over the bathroom. We generally keep the bathroom door closed so how much help can it be. Do worry about forgetting the vent is open every time it rains.

Heng's Vortex II fan (3-speed forward, 2 speed reverse) and Maxair II have worked great for me.

The nice thing about the Vortex fax retrofit is that you don't have to disturb the vent frame caulking. It installs entirely from the inside of the RV. It's at Camping world for $45, quite a bit cheaper than I paid a few years ago.

I have the Maxx Air II covers and they dont open all the way either. They look good but only open about half way before they hit also

I got the maxxair 850's as I liked the way they extend out and all the openings are facing down. Need a monsoon to get water in an open vent with these bad boys...
