Rubber pads on bed latches replaced

The rubber pads on the latches that lock the bed ends in place need replacing so I went to the hardware store and bought a 6x6" square of 1/8" neoprene for $1.99 and will cut 4 pieces and glue then in place with loctite super glue( ultra gel) no drip or run. It's for metal and rubber +. My pads are 4 years old and have seen better days.

Done, didn't take very long and all 4 pads were either broken or crumbling. Glad I remembered this little project before I left. Tomorrow is wash and wax day.

Looks like a good solution. Mine seem to be holding up; however, I had two replaced when it was a month old!

I figure it is a matter of time before I'll need all four.
