Question Seals

What do you use on your bunk end and slide seals. I heard or read to not use silicone, but to use "Pam". I'm really not sure about using vegetable spray on my seals.

I use a product that is listed for slide seals. Any RV store has it. I do mine about 4 times a year and still have the same can. You can find it on Amazon as well.

Hi Krackeer,

I just read an interesting article on conditioning the slide seals annually with baby powder.

Regards,

Ron

For the bed seals on our old 2003 Kiwi 17a I used Turtle Wax F-21 twice a year. When we traded the trailer after 10 years the seals were still soft and had no leaks. I'm going to continue using it for our X20E.

The slide out is new for us. The main thing I was told was not to use anything petroleum based that will will attract dust and dirt. I think we're going to try the baby powder.
