We had our last Jayco hybrid for 10 years and it never leaked. Our new one is about a year old now and it didn't leak last year. First trip of the season in 2 weeks.
Like others said, just get them nice and wet and let dry a couple of times. Its the seams you are really trying to season. The threading swells up and drys a couple of times and seals out any future water. The vinyl part won't ever leak, its not like the old canvas beds on PUPs, or a canvas tent (which is what we used for many years!).
