Arrow Sexy post - Which sewer hose?

I have the X17A hybrid. It has the little hole in the hookup side to store the sewer hose. What is your favorite hose to use and store in here?

I bought a Rhino hose, but the darn thing does not fit in the compartment.

What clever things have you devised to make up for this? We leave for maiden voyage in a week and I need to get this, or it will be a cra**y time for all of us.
Thank you!

Jeff

I had a similar problem when I got my trailer. '06 197 sport. I installed a pvc 4x4 fence post connected to my rear bumper. I used sealant to put a cap on one end and bungee cords to attach the end that I use. It all fits in there. There are a lot of people that do this mod in various ways. To connect it, just use a few threaded rods, a few thin 1" wide metal strips, a few nuts, and a little rubber sheeting. There are also people that installed this setup under there trailer, but that would be too close to the ground for my liking.

I have a 17c Ex-Port and I'm assuming the hose storage is the same as mine. I measured it and that storage is 36" deep and will hold a 3" hose.

I bought a Camco 20' hose that fits in it perfectly. Had to buy the hook up end and 3" worm clamp separately.

Well, since you've already bought the hose I hate to say that I like the Sewer Solution loads. In the X23B I stored it in a plastic bin which lived in the shower pan when we weren't camped. At a CG the bin lived under the TT. Worked great for us. We now have a 5th which has LOADS of storage and the bin lives in the basement. There have been posts about the Rino not fitting the bumper and the "ears" on the ends cut off will allow it to fit. I'm not familiar with the X17A so I'm not sure about the storage in it. Good luck and congrats on the new HTT.

We have an X17Z and I'm assuming it is the same as ours. the dealer gave us a "kit" when we purchased ours. Of course when I got home I realized the hose was not going to fit. I unscrewed the ends of the hose cut the hose to the maximum collapsed length that would fit and re-installed the ends. it is short but I have not had any problems yet. It only fits in the compartment one way (the end with the round tabs fits first and the end with the tab hooks is last). The elbow is stored in a baggy else where.
Hope this makes sense and helps.

We had the same issue when we had our '03 Kiwi 17a. It would only hold a 15' hose. I bough one of the 20' kits, cut it and mounted the connectors myself.

If the hose doesn't fit beacuse the end collar is too big, you can use a dremmel and file down the "ears" a bit. Worked for me.
