Straight valve Broken

Hello, when we un-winterized our 23j today one of the straight valves to let the water into the water heater broke, does anyone know where we can get a replacement to do it ourselves?, it's still under warranty but we'd rather do it ourself instead of the dealer having our rig for who knows how long to change this little valve.......Please and Thank You....

Try Home Depot or any camper store. In mine they have a complete supply of PEX products. I haven't looked to see if they have a valve or not, but it is possible. Something to consider with PEX though. Your first PEX project could be expensive because you'll need to purchase the tools to work with PEX properly. These tools range in the $50 area. The brass PEX fittings are not all that inexpensive either but once you have everything, the rest of the work is pretty easy.

Good "old fasioned" hardware stores will loan the PEX crimping tools free of charge. You'll just have to leave a refundable deposit as insurance that you'll return it. The biggest challenge when working with PEX is having enough room in the compartment to operate the crimping tool. They need to open quite wide to accept a new ring for crimping.

Good luck and have fun.

It may not be covered under warranty if it is a freeze issue. Ask your dealer to provide the part, then give him the old one if he can claim from Jayco..
