tent end door latches/plates

Do any of you notice on your tent end doors, the outline of the bracket or plate round the latch?
This may sound odd but as I look at my rear bed door, I notice what looks like the backing plate behind the latch.
My X17Z does NOT show any outline.
The new (used) x23b does. Should I be concerned that something is wrong, loose, poorly made? (paranoid maybe?) I'm consrened the outer shell may eventually crack or something....

I guess I'm hoping to hear that this is just how some turn out through manufacturing and not a bad purchase on my part. I only noticed it after I had it home a few days.

I don't have the trailer right now....I didn't think of the pic, sorry.
It is at the dealer now getting some issues worked out and I told them to check it out....
The initial comment from them was it is part of the vacuum bonding process.....pulls tight around that plate and shows.

My 2013 doesn't show that but the mechanic said they changed some fabrication processes. Seems they are using thinnner materials to me if that is so. We'll see.
