Those of you with a 2013 23b -

I know there are a couple others that have the 2013 model 23b. We did not get the model that comes with the TV, but have an extra 19" flat screen that my husband no longer uses in his office that we plan to use in the camper. Unlike most travel trailers that we looked at, there wasn't a red mounting X on the wall where the television hookups are. I've seen plenty of tv's mounted in older model 23b's to the side of the cabinet, but for our model year, it would need to be mounted to the wall under the cabinet holding the stereo.

My question is whether anyone with a 2013 23b has mounted a TV to this wall? Being that it's brand new, I do NOT want to be the one pushing for something that will bring our first catastrophe! I know there are a lot of "where/how do I mount my TV" posts, but it seems like they are always mounted onto the red X on the wall or onto a cabinet with some sort of reinforcement on the other side.

On our 2012, the TV mount is on the exterior wall, under the radio.

Our '12 X23B also has the TV mounted to the exterior wall below the stereo cabinet. I've not done this but several posters say you can call Jayco and ask for diagrams which will show where the framing and supports are hidden.

As a matter of fact, I emailed the other morning and just this afternoon got a response with a nice .pdf of the specs. It appears that there is a plywood backer on that exterior wall under the stereo that's 11-3/4 x 20 x 1. So I guess that means there isn't a stud to find and screw the mount into? Should be a snap to install the mount then. We won't leave the TV on it during travel anyhow, so hopefully all will be well!

I just purchased a 2014 X23b this past weekend, and plan on installing a Vizio 22" razor TV. I contacted Jayco and asked for the wall plan so I know where the exterior wall plate below the stereo cabinet is located. I tried attaching the PDF wall plan file that shows exactly where it is located. The drawing is dated 10/23/2012, so I would assume this applies to units 2012 and newer. Unfortunately, the site does not allow posting the file. It is a 62.5k file, and the site allows a maximum file size of 19.5k. You can get the file from Jayco by calling customer service. They are very helpful. For those who are handy with a ruler, I will attempt to describe the location of the wall plate. Standing inside the camper and facing the door, measure from the floor 45-1/2 inches upward. This is the bottom of the plate. It is 11-3/4 inches high, and 20" wide from the edge of the door jamb. It is 1" thick plywood. Hope this helps.
