Well after having owned our Jayco Jay Feather 17Z for a tad over 3 years, we have decided to move on (I know better than to say "move up" on these forums
) We will be getting a
Flagstaff Super Lite 27 RLWS travel trailer. We were initially focusing on upgrading to a Rockwood Roo 23 IKSS but the price and storage differences between it and the Flagstaff made the decision clear for us.
We have had no issues with our great little Jayco but we know that it will be going to a good home in North Carolina. The new owners came and picked her up yesterday and were really pleased and excited with it -
condition and modifications. I cannot tell you the mixed feelings I had when I signed over the title and watched it drive off! I can only hope that the new Flagstaff measures up to the Jayco in terms of reliability and lack of issues.
I fully expect we'll miss the airyness of the hybrid especially in the Fall when the AC can be switched off and the bunkends opened. We will also likely miss the shortness of the RV and the ability to go most anywhere, not to mention the ease of towing - both aspects that are likely to change significantly with the new RV.
We will also miss the HTT community and the discussions and camaraderie. I have learned lots on this forum and hopefully have also shared for others to benefit.
