had a piece of plexiglass cut to fit the bottom of the screen (attached with velcro tabs) so the dogs to tear through the screen. I'm pretty sure this was the most expensive year for us but now we're set![/QUOTE]

This is something we have to invest in. Right now we are using a piece of cardboard. We put the dog in the trailer at night when we are enjoying the fire. (he is afraid of the fire) For the first 10 mins or so he scratches at the screen. so for a quick fix we used the cardboard box.

I agree, plexiglass would be perfect for us to add as well. My senior dog has started scratching our screen doors out of nowhere, which she never did before. We haven't had her in the camper yet, but I would be sick if she scratched a hole in our brand new door. We're also getting a puppy at the end of October and everybody knows how sharp those nails are. Thanks for the idea!

Total cost for the plexi, cut to fit at Lowe's, and velcro was about $12. Totally worth the money!!

That plexiglass sounds like a great idea. Our little dog always scratches at doors to get out or in., especially if we are on the other side of the door and he can see or hear us.
