Question Wall mount a Television in X18D?

I found a nice little 15 inch LCD at Kinney Drugs of all places for 140$. If fits very nicely on the stand above the fridge in my X18D and has come in very handy as I again spend 4 days in the rain :-)

What I am wondering about though, is if there is any support in the all srong enough to support a wall mount. I would rather not have to pack the tv up every time I move. I would also like to avoid any damage to my camper.

Does anyone have any experience, advice? The shelf that the tv sits on on seems solid, but only half inch. Same for board that frames in micro, but to use that I would need some sort of articulating tv mount and I do not think 1/2 inch material is going to support it.

What are the walls constructed of? Is there a stud back there?

Our 23 b came with the tv mounted on a cabinet beside the stove we moved it up to the side of the microwave cabinet. Ours came with a vertical mount on top of this cabinet. WE purchased a horizontal mount at the rv dealer shop we took the microwave out so we could place a reinforcement plate on the inside of the cabinet to screw the mount into of the tv mount it is very sturdy.
would you have space on top of the fridge cabinet for a vertical mount or space on the side of the micro cabinet or is there a panel on top of the cabinet that you could reinforce to hold the tv.

Got your answer. On my X18D I mounted an articulating arm on panel bordering the microwave above the fridge. I have a 22" Vizio LED mounted and it swings around and tilts so you can see it from any bunk. Pull the microwave (4 screws) and bolt the arm through the bulkhead - reinforce the microwave side with an aluminum strip. The TV weighs maybe 5 pounds so there is no stress on bulkhead to speak of.

There is just enough room for a Blu Ray player right below the TV and - the great part - the TV runs on 12 V DC off the power pack. I made an adapter for about $5 in parts from Radio Shack to run it off the battery.

Next project is to replace the dreadful Jensen stereo.

something else that we did with our tv is make a cover for it and then used velcro straps over the tv to hold it secure during transport.

That sounds perfect. Any chance for some pics? I may have tv envy though .... yours is bigger than mine ;-).

Thanks for the info - I am going shopping for a mount this weekend.

This pic is the mounting hardware and we added an eye hook on the side of the cabinet for one velcro strap and the other strap we feed through the mounting hardware

Mustang - this is still helpful, I will do something very similar to this only on the other side of the microwave.
