Warranty

Hello my wife and I just purchased a J feather 7 19XUD, Already upon receiving the trailer from the dealer, one of the speakers inside is not working, they are calling a service center for me to see about getting it fixed, I can see some electrical wires by the water tank underneath the trailer an there is one red wire just hanging loose from the rest, wondering if this might be the problem. Is there extra paperwork or a website to register my trailer with Jayco for the warranty.

You should be automatically registered for warranty via your dealership.

As for the red wire, i had the same on my new trailer and it kind of ...... me off, its just lazy electrical work not to secure it properly and i was afraid given the right bump etc that it would catch and i would have a bad trip on my hands, so i Zip tied it into a location with some slack either way to both clean up the appearance and secure it.

Go on some trips and start making a list, with pictures.

I had a 4 page list when i brought my 19XUD back for the first warranty service.

Here are the initial issues I found on my 19XUD. I thought, it might help you find issues that you may not have considered.

1 - Not sealed front of right wheel well, under kitchen cabinet. Light comes in clear inside.
2 - Not sealed around low point drain, and hose kinked causing it not to drain.
3 - Various holes in underbelly material
4 - Ground point behind black tank has exposed insulation
5 - Knife cuts below diamond plate, exposing insulation
6 - Screw heads about to come through roof.
7 - Gap front right corner molding
8 - Apparent delam on bottom of front bunk. Fiberglass no longer flat.
9 - Pin holes in rear bunk canvas. Easily seen in daylight.
10 - Wires fell and are now exposed in storage nook next to door.

Wow that's a lot for a new trailer. I'd be asking for some money back . If Jayco is suppose to be one of the best manufactures in trailers, how bad are the other guys. Hopefully you got all the repairs done.

I went over every inch the camper with basically a magnifying glass. I found every flaw. I spent an hour under it with a crawler.

I'm ensuring I get my "warranty worth".

The only major issue, has been the delam on the front bunk. It was replaced easily under warranty.

I'm assembling a list of warranty items but will wait until after our first short road trip before taking the 5er back to the dealer.

When doing the PDI the dealer wasn't at all happy with my close inspection and list of small things that needed to be repaired or before I took delivery..

Not looking forward to his reaction when I go back to have some larger issues addressed. That'll be in a couple of weeks.

We love the trailer though and are anxious to go camping.

Now I'm a little worried that I might have missed something . We had some trim pull away from the wall but a little glue was all it needed and a light that was sticky and I just took cover off and readjusted but I don't see anything else major . So far so good .
