Water Bypass - Jayco x17z

Water Bypass - Jayco x17z. Does any Jayco x17z owners no if the trailer has a water bypass, I cant locate one. When i took off the cover i see a plug sitting there. So im assuming there is no bypass.

Im de-winterizing the trailer tommorrow and have no clue what im doing. I have read allot on this site. So any other tips or links would help.

Thank you
Mark

Mark, I don't have a x17z but on my TT the bypass is right next to the water heater tank inside. I found it by removing a board inside the storage area adjacent to where the tank is located. Might be worth a look.

it may be under the dinning room seats. you may need a screw driver to remove the screws.

I think i found the bypass levers, under the dinette chair on the right. there is 3 bypass levers there, two seem to stop the water from going into the hot water tank. so im assuming this is the bypass. they are in the on position as im assuming the previous owner winterized and ensured the bypass was on to the pink stuff does not get into the water heater. Im still learning, sorry for being a pain, but my wife booked camping saturday and still have not dewinterized and i want to make sure i do it right.

yes the valve going to the tank and the one returning should be parallel with the water line. the one in the middle should now be closed as that is your bypass.make sure you got water in the hot water tank befor lighting . a fyi I beleave the water pump is under the other seat may want to pop that open and check it out some day. good luck and have fun camping

You have the valves down. We all need help at times and usually it is needed right now.

Thanks everyone! Found it, Just woke up after our first night in the x17z, everything is working well. Also helps that a friend stayed the night in their trailer, who got me going!
Thanks
Mark

Please help clarify the water heater bypass valve on x17z. I see the three lines under the seat with valves, but they are not labeled. Which is the bypass valve(s) and how do I tell? AND...I want the bypass valve closed (not inline correct) and the other two open (inline)? or are their two bypass valves? and I close both of those leaving the third open? thanks.

Picture a capital H on it's side

Code:

      o

--o--------
The two valves on the top of the legs go into/out of the the water heater. The valve in the middle allows you two bypass the water heater.

To bypass the water heater
- both valves on the legs close (perpendicular to the line)
- valve in middle open (inline with the line)

To use the water heater
- both valves on the legs open (inline with the line)
- valve in middle closed (perpendicular to the line)
