What does your X17Z weigh?

I know it's a weird question, just wondering how many have actually weighed their X17Z after it's been loaded?
I see so many have had this or that added to them, have you been able to keep it at the 3500lb GVWR?

I don't think it's weird, I think it's a good question. The weight of the mods and stored items probably adds up real quick and there isn't a lot to work with. I also have the 2011 17Z and the cargo sticker on mine indicates 3,055 leaving the factory, and 445 remaining. That's not much. (BTW, we also traded a 1207 for our Z.) I haven't weighed mine yet but that's going to happen this spring. I called a local high-volume junk yard in our area and the rep said they weigh trucks all the time and they would weigh my trailer. They charge $5 for a scale ticket, and it's close to home.

I did weigh ours on a CAT scale with everything other than food, clothes, blankets and pillows and it came in at 3280lbs(one of the LP tanks is almost empty so probably closer to 3300lbs). That leaves about 200lbs. I am guessing 50lbs. for food and 100lbs for the rest, which granted may leave 50lbs, but it's not much room for error. One thing I liked about the 1207, it had a much higher CCC.

I weighed mine on the CAT scales at the Flying J closest to me - 3800#. Been that way since I got it. Tows perfectly, and have not had any issues with the trailer, towing or my Goodyear Marathon ST tires which are together within 300# of their combined capacity. Tongue is 600#.

amabee, We enjoy our 17Z and I'm not going back, but I really liked the 1207 popup. I never minded the cranking - just considered it exercise - but I don't miss doing it. I like that it would fit in the garage, and when inuse it was like being in a big screened room.

Oh, don't get me wrong, we had a good 2 years with the 1207 and the setup was a family project, we had it down to a science

WOW, 3800lbs! Maybe I shouldn't be to concerned if I am over by 50lbs or so. Ours came stock with 14" tires which are rated at 1760lbs, so they can handle more than the 3300lb GAWR of the trailer.

Mine came with 13" Duro tires which were lesser load capacity than the 14" tires I installed for extra capacity since I suspected that the RV was heavy. With the upgraded tires just over axle capacity (3520# vs 3500#) I am more comfortable. I figure as long as I don't overload the axle and I watch my tongue weight I am good, and so far it is just fine.

Yes, ST205175D14's with the same 1760 rating.
