Why don't the lights work?

After plugging in to the standard 30 amp service at a sight I found I had no main lighting The lights over the sink and couch were working so I went to the panel to check the fuse and it was fine. I did notice however that when I removed another circuit's fuse that the led light lit up.This was not the case with the main lights.Again everything was working fine . Anyone have a guess?

Not sure if this applies to you But did you check at the entrance door on the inside for a switch. On my 25E the switch operates the main lights and each light has it own switch.

Thanks for the reply! We tried all that and resetting circuit breakers. The thing that gets me is that the ked light does not come on when I pull the fuse out:-/

If you have a meter I would pull the switch and check for voltage into and out of the switch If you have voltage in and not out replace the switch. You could then jumper the switch to see if lights work if they do then remove the jumper and replace switch.


Could also be a bad ground connection on that circuit

You lights run off your 12VDC Power Distribution Panel. When you are not at an electric site this is powered by your battery. When hooked up to shore power the 120VAC powers up your converter/charger unit which in turns provides 12VDC to the 12V Power Distribution Panel. Apparently this is not working for you now. Also your battery has run down or perhaps you have a battery disconnect switch engaged... If your ceiling lights don't work they are missing 12VDC that either comes form the converter/charger unit or your battery... Both of these DC SOURCES connect to the same point on the 12VDC Distribution Panel where all the fuses are located.

The 12v distribution panel has been a problem for me and a few others here. If you are electrical savvy, pull the panel cover off and make sure the leads are tight and correct. I found a few of mine hanging on by a few threads of wire and others with too much wire stripped back and exposed.

The OP states that the main lights are not working but that the lights over the sink and couch are working This would indicate that he does have 12 volts somewhere.

Check the switch by the door again. Does the outside light come on?
check for the 12 volts at that switch by the door.

The red LED next to the fuse is the indicator that the fuse next to it is blown (or missing).

Check the connections in the wall switch. Mine had a wire come loose.

Based on what you provided and the responses, if after trying the things recommended and within your capabilities, take the trailer to the dealer and let them TS. We had an issue a year ago with the awning and it turned out to be a bad wire crimp behind a panel where I would never have found it. If some lights are working and others are not, I would venture to guess there is a broken wire connection somewhere in the trailer and perhaps not where you could easily find it.
