Why is there water in my fresh tank?
I was puttering around in our x17z yesterday and just for kicks checked the fluid levels. I've never used the fresh water tank (always have city water at our campground) but for whatever reason I hit that button after checking the black and grey tanks. It showed that there was water in the tank. So, I opened the low point drain and it drained, and drained and drained. I figure at least a gallon or two came out. Any ideas why there would be water in there, given that I didn't at any point manually put water in that tank?

Check valve on pump could have a slight leak.

I suppose that's a possibility. Would it matter that I haven't even used the pump other than to winterize?

Could be condensation. I left two 5 gallon water coolers in the garage last winter closed up. This spring I found them both with about a cup of water in each.

There is still pressure on the output side of the pump when hooked to freshwater.

No. When you connect to city water, the system is under pressure right up to the pump. If the check valve (or other) is going bad and allowing water to flow past the pump "backwards", the water will end up in the tank every time the water system is applied pressure from the city water connection.

Very Old Fresh Water
Could the water be from the PDI and never drained?

Good thought, but that's not it. We bought the camper last September, and I drained it all the way home when we picked it up. Also, I know I've checked that fresh water level before, and found it empty.

When I fill my fresh tank, it does not register 1/3 until I put over 10 gallons.
How much has to go into yours before it registers? Just asking cause 2-3 gallons should not even register.

It may have been more than 2-3 gallons. I really have no idea. The water ran out for a while, but it comes out at such a trickle that it's hard to tell how much it was. The gauge had two out of four lights lit up, but I know that doesn't mean half full.
