x17z bunk vinyl strip cracked. Replacement?

Hello everyone. I just bought this trailer used. It's 2013 model. And while camping in it for the first time, I noticed small crack in vinyl strip that is stitched to the canvas and attached to the trailer. Cracks are on both ends. I did some research, it's a common problem. What I'm looking for is that vinyl strip. Does anyone know where can I get only that piece? Or maybe part number for it? Thank you.

You'll probably have to go directly to Jayco for this piece or you'll have to just secure that split so it doesn't get any bigger, that's what I did. I went to the plant and they said to send the complete tent end to them and they can sew a new one in but they didn't give me a price. I took one that they just removed from one that someone returned. I went to two sail makers in Bellingham and they wouldn't touch it.

This is how I ended up fixing my vinyl strip. Removed the screw and pinched the vinyl together used a 1/2 piece of Mr. Grip ( full piece in picture)then a fender washer and a new screw that was the next larger size. It's been 2 years now and it's held together just fine.

Interesting... Where is Jayco located? Did they tell you how much they would charge for this kind of work?

Located in Indiana just off I-90 but wife has a summer home in up state NY so we've passed by a few times. I didn't ask the price because I knew it could be a fairly easy fix, it's only in the 4 corners and taking those tent ends off look like they could be a real pain. Yours looks like an easy fix.

One of mine started to do this as well. The ends are between $300-$500 to replace. Maybe cheaper if you can find a used one in good shape. Having that part would be nice!
