Question X17Z iRV

Hello,

We just purchased a 2015 X17Z.

We can't get the iRV system to recognize any auxilliary input.

The radio works, CDs and DVDs play fine.

We have an older iPod Nano, new iPod Shuffle, new iPhone 6 - none of them seem to work with the entertainment system.

Has anyone encountered this?

We had other minor issues that the dealer fixed (tail light assembly fell off, dinette bench cracked, door handle/lock siezed up) but I'm hoping to troubleshoot this without having to take the trailer in.

We have only used the camper twice.

Thanks!

From what I can tell after using the system several times, it's a piece of garbage. Here's a thread with more info http://www.jaycoowners.com/forums/f3...m-19597-2.html

Thanks for the reply. I'm glad to know that it is not operator error and that the device itself is to blame.

After two camping trips I am disappointed in the quality of our camper and the performance of the iRV system. The dealer assures me that working out kinks is normal with these campers so hopefully we'll be defect free now.

I think I will call it good that the radio, tv and dvd work - and will find another way to use iPods/MP3s.

Thanks!

Run your mini plug cable from your head phone output to the aux input stat playing music and go through the options on the radio till you get music. Should work no matter "player" what you plug in to it. Main thing is just have fun.

I agree with DHinkle 57. That is what I do with my iphone 4S and it works. I do remember that I had to scroll throught the options on the "mode" before I got music to play. The mode I thought it should be was not the one it worked on, but it did work.
