I use tvfool.com to know the direction of the TV signals in relation to the campground. In combination with a compass, I can quickly aim the antenna and then tweak for maximum signal.
My first mod to my Winegard batwing antenna was to add the Wingman accessory which greatly aids in the reception of UHF channels. Most digital OTA channels have a UHF channel assignment.
I echo the same points of making sure the antenna booster is on and a fresh channel scan has been performed in antenna setup on the TV. At this time, make sure that the source for any channel scan is antenna, not cable.
And make sure that the coax connections are snug, including the one under the weather boot on the antenna itself and behind the wall mounted stereo unit. Also, make sure that the bare coax wire is straight and not bent (as it protrudes from the barrel head connector) in confirming a proper connection.
The only other thing that comes to mind is interference from other devices running at the same time. In my hybrid, before upgrading to a Fantastic Fan in the bathroom, the original fan, when running, would interfere.
