X17z shower issue(?)

Hello!

I'm hoping to get some feedback on this. We just purchased an X17z hybrid. We tried the shower out for the first time today and were a bit dismayed with all the water which ended up on the floor in the bathroom. The curtain was closed and we were (at least we thought we were) being quite careful to keep the water contained inside the stall

Even after our shower we noted that water still seemed to be seeping from underneath the shower base???

Does anyone else have these issues? Any proposed solutions?

Thanks!

Bob

My very first warranty call dealt with almost the same thing. The factory forgot to seal around the faucet. water ran down the hose and the wall and ended up under the tub. Some of that then ran out onto the floor. Might be it?

X17z shower issue(?)

Are you sure the water didn't go through the curtain?

Since the shower tub is very low, maybe the water ran down the curtain and the curtain wasn't in the tub, but just outside the tub.
People have put up plastic on the edges of the shower floor to stop the curtain from getting outside and water running on the floor.

If it's not what krackeer mentioned it could be the factory didn't seal around the drain. Larry

We ran into the same problem. You have to be careful while in the shower as the curtain does come out. We had water everywhere to say the least. I would love to find a light weight Tub surround, although there isn't much room to move around as it is.

The Jayco shower curtain in not waterproof. You might want to add a liner. To give myself a little more room I attach a clip to the shower curtain. The clip has a cord that I tie to the towel rack.

The water drips down the curtain so I keep my back to the corner and turn on the water while I'm holding the shower head and wet myself down, always keeping the shower head facing the back corner. I turn off the water and shampoo my hair and lather with soap, using the tub spout intermittantly to wet the soap as needed. I then rinse off, always holding the showerhead and pointing it toward the back wall. I am 250lbs and it's a very effective bird-bath. Sometimes I have my wife hold the shower head and rinse me off. With practice the floor stays nice and dry.

You could also put some suction cups on the bottom of the curtain and attach them to the tube once you are inside. I know on cruise ships they recommend clips with small weights on them top hold curtains down. I am like a previous poster and just which way the shower head is pointing.
