X18D Radio/CD/DVD player question

I have a new 2014 X18D and have noticed that there is no way to completely shut off the radio/cd/dvd entertainment system. It seems to me that this is an unacceptable drain on the battery when we are dry camping (which is what we do 90% of the time).

Has anyone re-wired a switch into the power feed for the system to be able to shut it off? Any suggestions, pointers, or help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Does the radio have a separate fuse? If so, would that shut it off?
I will look at mine this evening. I am guessing the radios are similar.

The fuse is linked with the Propane detector (don't want to shut that off!). Pretty sure it is linked with something else too (just don't remember). I'm pretty sure I will need to add a switch, just hate making holes in my really nice new camper! Also, climbing down on the floor to disconnect a fuse seems like a chore. A little toggle switch would do the trick and I can mount it somewhere convenient.

That's probably a Jensen? The 4 screws that hold it in are easily removed and the unit slides out as one piece. Its runs on 12v so splicing a switch into the power line should be an easy thing. Then mount the switch in the cabinet above the entertainment system.

This would be a nice easy mod to get your feet wet at cutting those holes!

Mod completed! I now have a nice switch above the radio/dvd/cd system and it completely cuts the power. It was overall a very easy mod.

Thanks for everyones help!
