X19H Hybrid and Fresh Water Tank

When I purchased my 2014 X19H in July of this year, the dealer sanitized and filled the fresh water tank. The meter has always said 3/4 full! I have yet to really use it as I always had full hookups. I am going boondocking, however, tomorrow for four days. So, I wanted to put a new batch of fresh water into the tank. I began to let the old water out and, after about 1/2 hour, it still measure as 3/4 full.

How long does it take to empty a 3/4 full fresh water tank? Are there any other things that some of the more experienced boondockers can offer relative to the use of a fresh water tank?

Have never timed how long it takes to drain the fresh water tank. But it does take a long time as the low point drain orifice is only about 1/8” diameter. I just open it and walk away. If I need to drain it fast, you can go inside open a low point drain for the piping system and turn on the pump. Note; my pump will not siphon all the water out of the FW tank, so I still need to use the FW tank’s low point drain.

If you have ¾ tank of water in the FW tank all summer, I would flush the tank and sanitize it, as that water may taste foul.
Depending on how long of a campout I am on, my FW tank is usually fairly low by the end. If it is not, I use as much of it as possible to fill the Black tank before dumping. Using the pump will drain the tank fairly fast, my guess around 2-3 gpm.

Keep in mind your x19h holds a total of 48 gallons of fresh water...3/4 would be 36 gallons...it will take a while!
