Lippert slide problem

Got a call this morning from our dealer. The Lippert company had called and said there is a problem with certain slides and ours is one of them. Not sure if it's certain models or what. Co rep called shortly after and said they were sending a tech to our house today to make the repair. I will update after I know more. Has anybody heard anything about this?

No but I would not be surprised because of the problem we had.

Front and rear slide gears had the gear cogs 180 degrees out of alignment with each other.

Let us know what they do.

I put in a thread down below about the problems we had with our Lippert bedroom slide with two electric motors and worm gears that seemed to be getting out of sync and stopping. Have had it down to the dealer three times to try to get it fixed and, hopefully, they have it now. Tech said Lippert told him our type of slide had a "soft" recall on it. Have to hold our breath every time we use the slide being afraid it won't work right. Pain in the bu!! to get it back in if stuck out and don't know how to get it out if it is stuck in. Good luck with your problem. Our problem is our tech is 150 miles away from our FW.

The Lippert tech is here now. The slide on the living room extends out farther and an extension was needed for the longer actuator. Jayco just bolted another L bracket to the first. Lippert says this is not strong enough and that it needs to be welded. Strange thing is that the tech says ours and another 351 RLST that our dealer has are the only ones that slipped through before they started welding.

We have the exact ssame camper model. I will be checking here in a couple of hours when I get to the campground if it's welded or not. Thanks

Well, I don't have that model but I do have a 31 RKS that this is the third time the slide out has quit working. Banged on the motor the first time and it started working and then could not duplicate the problem. Now it has stopped again and will not go out, motor just makes a clicking sound like the old cards did trying to start when the battery was low. The batteries aren't low as I have checked the voltage. I see where some slides are having problems. Any updates lately? Bad thing about this is slide motor is located under center of trailer and floor panel has to be dropped to get to it. Yuck!

The Lippert tech said to call him anytime we had problems. Said he and another tech travel all over the US.

Schwintec Lippert failure

Our 31DS LR slide has failed to go out due to the 2 motors not syncing twice. After the first repair it worked once at Richardsons RV, Riverside, CA. But next use in the boonies it failed. Took Richardsons 2 months to get parts. Now it's at Ardell Brown RV, Draper, UT, waiting for parts again. Hope Jayco can get this figured out, we no longer trust trying to travel. Both failures it would not open. Eventually it will fail in the open position. Service tech provided link to U Tube video giving instructions on dismantling and forcing it closed. Requested Jayco to send video. As we camp out of Internet service range. We are presently stuck waiting for repairs of slide in Utah .
