12 volt power near antenna

I was trying to use my 12 volt outlet near my antenna connection to power my mobile hotspot. It was not charging as my hotspot ran out of power. Any idea why this might not work

It should work. We use ours often to charge cell phones with no problems.

Does the antenna booster work properly? It's powered by the same fuse.

Don't know (the green light is on though) we can't get tv out here where we are now and back home we are close enough to the tv stations to not need one. I will do more checking tomorrow. Thanks for the advice so I have something to look for

That would be my concern as well killing my BOOST AMP that is mounted inside the BATWING up on my roof.

I installed a small wattage PSW POWER INVERTER close to the battery bank and routed the two 120VAC multitap extension cords with one going to the Home Entertainment equipment area and the second 120VAC Multitap extension cord going back to a spot close to where we sleep. This is always ON powered by my battery bank and runs all of my items i want power too when camping off grid...

I think I read somewhere that fuse you are talking is rated at 8AMPS DC
We camp alot off-grid and don't like surprises when a long way from anything...

Do you have a volt/ohm meter to check the accessory outlet for 12VDC? Purchase one of the inexpensive 12VDC Digital Voltage Displays on Amazon, works great troubleshooting this type of issue. It also lets you now when you hit the 12.0VDC so you do not discharge your batteries past this point.

In the end of the 12VDC power cord there is usually a 10 amp fuse. You may want to see if that fuse is blown.
