2-fer.. Awning issue and vent cover

I have a Carefree of Colorado electric awning and would like to add some lights to it but the rope light set I got from CW does not fit. The motor housing is too bulky and will not allow the attaching strip to slide in. What solutions have you come up with to 1) make these lights attach or 2) a brand of lights that you use successfully.

Also, I tried to install the CW bathroom vent cover, but it does not fit because of the air vent next to the bathroom vent. Is it worth my effort to find a vent cover? If so, what brand of vent cover fits on my 28DSBH.

A lot of people have been using these LED strip lights on their awning.

There's about 46 pages of post and pictures of the LED Awning lights

Thanks for the reply. Apparently I need to learn how to use the search feature a little better.

Now if I can figure out which vent cover fits my camper without too much trial and error.

Jump up on top and measure your vent.
There's probably only like 2 different standard vent covers.
If you have questions, give Tweetys a call with your measurements and they will fix you up.

One note about installing the LED's on or around your awning: It is probably worth your time to A) install a dimmer switch and B) make sure the awning lights are isolated from others (like step lighting).

Mine came equipped with an LED strip along the wall just under the awning, and while it is handy, it can be extremely bright. It's great when I'm working on something and need a lot of light, but it's not so great when I just want a little softer light when I'm relaxing outside. Also, the circuit is connected to my step light (little light under the steps for safety), so if I have any lights on, I have to have them all on.

Sorry, can't comment about the vent cover, mine went on just fine with plenty of space.
