213x Black Water Drain Problems

I did not notice that the drain was so low when purchasing this camper. We really like it as it tows well but I have already scraped it on a low shoulder and cannot find outlets in campgrounds low enough for it to drain in. We camp in the mountains and most all sites are not level. Has anyone else experienced this?

My 165 sport was the same way. 4 inches from drain to ground.

Dexter makes a 2 5/8 inch lift for the #10 3500 torflex. I don't know if that's what you have.

I made a 6" lift for mine because the dexter lift wasn't enough for me. Even just a flat tire would kill the plumbing.

It is low but I've had no problems. The campgrounds I've been to have the sewer drain in the ground so connecting and draining isn't an issue.

Would positioning the trailer on blocks, like you were leveling the trailer from side to side but in this case just raising it, at the campsite give you enough height?

I didn't think I had a problem, but after the lift it drained faster and more completely. I think it's the angle the hose takes after the connection that gets **it rolling.

I find the low drain the most annoying feature on our 213. More so after finding out it is too low to drain into the expensive sewer tote I bought. Since I had already built one set of levelling planks from 2X6's I went and built a second set that I use for lifting the trailer if the campsite sewer drain is too high or if I will be using the Tote. For side to side leveling I use one or two planks, for lifting the trailer all four. I have a hole in each end of the sets that I drop a pin in to keep the set from shifting when driving on. Torflex #10 lift kit will not work on a X213.
We have the same issue sometimes at campsites as well as having to put down 2 by 10's to get through some rough spots on the gravel road to our favorite spot.

I have made up steel plates so that i can drop the axles 4 or 5 inches. Just need the time to install them now

Aside from the piece of mind with the plumbing height, the added height of the awning is really nice too.

I just need to change the step from one step to two now.
