2280 fk ss NEED slide out repair help!

Just bought a 1996 jayco 2280fk ss trailer and the slide out works with the motor but it case i wanted the manual crank to work too. But the gears are stripped underneath! I was wondering if anyone has done a repair like this and how to do it? Is there a repair manual for these trailers that i could go by? Thanks for the advice in advance guys!

You may want to contact Jayco (have your VIN at hand) and they may be able to tell you who the slide OEM is. The slide manufacture will have the technical data that may be helpful.

Lippert is one slide manufacture that Jayco has been using for a number of years...., here is Lippert's slide-out owners/service manuals listing: http://www.lci1.com/index.php?option...174&Itemid=103

Chances are you may have Schwintec slides which Jayco used for years. Lippert bought them out a few years ago so now Jayco uses Lippert. I really don't know which is better as we have had problems with both on different trailers.
