321RLTS slide ?

Anybody know the maker of the big slides on my Eagle.The bd rm is the Swinteck but its a completely different stle drive than the big ones.I just want to know how they move the slides in/out.the 2 rails the slides ride out on have a series of holes on the underside which leads me to think thats the gear the motor moves.

Poohbear, did you ever find out which slide you have on your 321rlts? I have a 2010 321rlts and could not find one similar to it in link posted by Norty1. I had the motor fail on my smaller slide and was under there with technician when he replaced it. He blamed it on one the the drive wheels, said it was cast to big and was binding and caused drive overload and fail. These drive wheels are just a cast wheel that have small bumps on them that insert into holes on bottom of rails. Very primitive system, looks like something from Fred Flintstone's time. I have looked at a lot of other units and have never found this system on them, only the 2010 321rlts. But since I have had mine fixed we have had no problems. But I keep waiting for some as my slides seems to hesitate a lot before starting to move in or out. The bottom moves quite a bit before top starts to follow. Had dealer check it out when unit in for other work, they said that it was normal, whatever normal is. Do your slides work like this also?

My dealer in Longview never told me which slide motor assembly we have on the room slides .The bedromm has the slide as in the photo but when you go to thier website to get manuals there musrt be 30 different systems and most appear variations of some kind of worm drive setup.
The motor and gear is an assembly that is replaced together and supposedly these replacements are "NEW & IMPROVED"

I had some problems with my door side slideout. We took it to our dealer and they replaced the motor/gearbox under warranty last year. No more problems.

It was a Lippert slide.

It is normal for the slide to move as you described. If you hear the motor laboring and the slide is not moving, I would take it to the dealer especially if in warranty still. Mine did that before it finally quit. (while out)

We had three slide motors fail on our 2011 321RLTS, and all were replaced under warranty. They finally replaced them with an "upgraded" version and we've had no more problems.

The design of these slides is really stupid. If the slide fails to retract (inevitably during a rainstorm), you have to drop the enclosed bottom to access the motor in order to retract it manually. The next time I buy an RV, I'm going to have the salesman demonstrate the manual slide retraction procedure before I sign on the dotted line!
