awning not closing all the way

Recently I noticed my awning doesn't fully close on one side. It's like it's too spread out to fit in the channels against the camper. I don't see how to adjust it anyway without moving the channel over and drilling more holes in the siding.

On the opposite side it does look like there is more room between the roller and the arm where the motor is, but if I push on it, it moves in but then moves right back.

It's a carefree electric awning and the manual and website are no help.

Go up on the roof with the awning closed and where the awning fits in the channel there should be a few sheet metal screws holding the spline from sliding in the channel. Take those out and kind of bang on the ends of the awning until the arms are centered in the channels, and then put the screws back in (you might move them over a bit if you have a drill so they won't go back in the old holes)
