Black water drain problem

I have a 08 Jay Flight G2 25RKS. I believe that the valve control arm for the black water drain is bent inside the frame and the insulated under body. Can I open a area to inspect and repair this issue? how hard is that?

I was able to fix a tank problem on a previous unit by pulling the underbelly cover down on one side and getting to what I needed to. On my current unit I cut the full width did what I needed installed a backer board and screwed the two halves into the board and filled the crack with a little black caulk.

Thanks 351rlts for the info, I was able to reach in were the drain pipe leaves the insulation and straiten the push/pull rod. I don't know that this will be the solution but I was able to close the valve. I will open the belly up and give it a true inspection soon.
