What process are you following for the changeover? Is it a manual process, or automatic?

Is your generator built in or do you plug it into the shore power connection? If built in I would suspect something wrong with the transfer box.

The fuse seems to be on the 12V side.

If it is through the shore cable have you tried flipping the main circuit breaker first, then turning off generator? Is your generator an inverter type or 'contractor' type?

I have a construction generator in which I plug in my shore power cable when I shut down the generator (to shift over to battery power) is when the fuse blows
