Cleaning Gaskets

Hello All,

I was wondering if anyone has a good method for cleaning the white gaskets around the door and hatches? I have used Soft Scrub, to no avail.

Thanks,
Denise

+1 they clean most everything. They make short work of bugs on windshields, chrome, and front cap.

Automotive brake cleaner will also remove that dirt.

303A cleaner works pretty good. Bullet 44 is great but expensive.

Mine get pretty clean just using the carwash soap I use on the rest of the trailer. I think it's "Turtle Wax Ice" this time ...

If that doesn't work, I would give the Magic Erasers a try. And if you use 303, you get the added benefit of UV protection.

Cleaning Gaskets

Replace the insert with black material.
It's available online by the linear foot.

Mine are nice and clean, and never have seen them like that. Historically I use "Spray Power" by Crown to deep clean, and it works great. Unfortunately I cannot find it locally anymore. I have been using "Simple Green" this summer and it seems to work as well. Spray Power was very nice, just spray it on full strength and car wash brush the whole TT clean. It takes all the black streaks, bugs, everything right off. My HTT still looks brand new. I hope Simple Green works as well in the long run.
