Electrical issues / questions

New owner of a 2016 White Hawk 23MRB. Can't get into to service until Aug 1st. Been on a three short trips, blowing the fuse on the front of trailer at least 20 times. Finally after reading on this forum and talking to tech on phone during last trip, the battery had been hooked up backwards. Fixed that and have not blown another fuse.

Now, unless I'm plugged into shore power nothing but the jack works. The fridge won't work going down the road either.

I've checked the fuse in front of trailer and the fuses in the power center. Turned all the breakers in the power center off and back on.

Is there a master reset somewhere that I'm missing?

Thank you in advance!! Any help would be appreciated!!

There is a fuse, in the converter that protects the system from reversed polarity. Check the fuses, ideally with a multimeter.

It sounds like you are not connected from the battery to the converter. Your jack has a separate cable that feeds power from the battery to the jack. There should be a cable going to the converter. The fact that you have power when hooked up to shore power tells me that the converter is suppling 12 volt power but there is a lack of power from the battery when shore power is disconnected. Check for a separate power feed to the converter and check on your ground cable.

Thanks, Neither converter or polarity fuse looked burned out, but rechecked and changed them out and everything is working again.

Thanks to both replies
