Fresh Water Tank Access

2007 Jay Feather (25') with sealed undercarriage. Need to find drain outlet where it connects to the hose between tank and drain valve. Is there a way to access the tank from above so as not to have to disturb the undercarriage protection?

Thanks,
NG777

Not familiar with your TT but on mine I cannot access the tank without taking off that area of the enclosed underbelly. It's not a big deal to take it off but make sure you reseal it tightly so the critters can't get in.
Happy RVing,
Jeff

Jeff,

Thanks for the observation. I'll take another look at the underside.

It appears the underside cover is attached primarily with fender washers and self tapping screws. Some of these have pulled through and should be easy to fix but I'd like to secure it a bit better around the outside edges. Do you think it would be safe to drill a few holes in the frame to accomplish this?

BTW, I think this forum is Great!

Buy some small self-drilling screws with hex washer head, makes the job quick and easy, the washer head gives a better holding surface for the underbelly material.

Agree, just get some self tapping screws. Lots easier.

If you have a Fastnal store near by try them, about $5 a bag. I tried Lowes, Depot, Menards with no luck.
