Bought our Eagle SuperLite HT 26.5 RLS last winter, finally got the Schwintek wardrobe slide operating properly this spring and through the summer. After our last trip I noticed a 2-3" crack in the fiberglass cap, right above the street-side running light way up on the top of the cap. Took it to the dealer for a few little things and this. Just got a call from them, there was also a crack under the running light as well, and Jayco is shipping a replacement cap to them for re-install rather than patching the existing cracks. Just wondering if any of you folks have had this type of problem with your fiberglass caps and if replacement was the preferred method?
I would think replacement would always be the preferred method. What a relief to hear that you don't have to fight them (Jayco) on this. I believe this is a manufacturer really stepping to the plate. I am trying to get my parents interested in an HT from Jayco. This will help a bunch.
As someone who just bought a Jayco and is waiting for it to be delivered, this is the kind of story that makes me feel like I definitely made the right choice!
Haven't noticed any leaks yet, but we had about the driest year in history here in Wyoming, so not much chance to have a problem. Did have a little problem with the "sweepers" on the slides, didn't seem to get the water off when bringing in, but that's also being taken care of, I hope, at the dealer.
