Gluing shower door handles

Ours has come off 2 times. Dealer appeared to have used a black glue that didn't work. What can I use that will hold to the glass?

100% Silicone, duck tape to support, let dry 24 hrs.

Plumbers epoxy putty. Small ball as big as needed, smash firmly in place, trim excess off.

I've used both techniques on grab bars and shower rods against tile. Also, corner units for shampoo etc.

As much as dislike silicone and normally do not advise using it, it is the best adhesive for glass I've ever used. I used to build frameless aquariums with it but I would let it cure for a week before filling the aquariums; otherwise, the silicone would fail.
