Kitchen faucet repairs?

We have noticed that certain positions of our kitchen single handle faucet don't allow water. I took it apart today and all looked good.
Called the number on my brochure, which btw had no name on it, was told there are no repair parts available. Just buy a new one.
That was the plan anyhow but we like the style of it and will get another that has replacement parts available from Lowes

The company makes loads of products, I suspet this is the lowest of the low end of their product line. They do not even offer parts. If it breaks out of warranty, to bad!

So you replaced the faucet with a nicer one?


It just so happens that ALL faucets are either 4" or 8" between centers for the mounting/water pipes.


Generally, bathroom and bar faucets are 4" and kitchen are 8". So anything at Lowes or Home Depot will fit an RV. They even use the same 1/2" NPT pipe threads!


So you don't have to spend $1,000,000.00 and wait 30 weeks for a new faucet.

Remove the old one, take it to your favorite home improvement store and DO NOT MENTION it is for an RV. They will sell you a beautiful replacement that will fit perfectly.

No I have not but plan to. I have seen the same style but in a better quality all over.

Having in been in the home repair business for 12 years, I am familiar with sink holes! LOL

ROTFL "Sink Holes" Do you live in FL?

Look closer at a whole lot of the details in your RV. You'll find there is plenty that is identical to what is used in a secured-to-the-ground house:
PEX plumbing, romex wiring, circuit breakers, outlets, TV set, hand shower...

Pay attention and the next repair turns into a major improvement while spending less than at the RV dealer.

After proving to myself that the Cust service I talked with was giving me the wrong info, I bought a Delta repair kit. Will give it a try.

How do I replace the supply line to the kitchen sink, The connection broke while removing the old faucet. All of the connection seem to be clamped and the line is clear plastic.

I'm replacing mine today. Hopefully no broken lines.

The clear plastic is PEX. Find a long run of it and you can read the manufacturer's information printed along it.

Cut off the damaged section well clear of the next connection.

Take it to the home improvement store and tell them it is from your kitchen sink. (Remember, don't mention 'RV')

They'll set you up with a length of the correct tubing, splicer, clamp and crimp tool.

Something I like to do is to add shutoff valves and put 1/2" NPT fittings where they are easy to get at under the sink. Then use 12" or 18" premade braded steel lines to connect the new fittings to the nearly unreachable fittings on the faucet. Lots of flex and easy to reach!
