Kitchen sink faucet problem?

Folks, while camping this last week, the little piece at the bottom of the high faucet in our 26.5 RLS HT seemed to be a bit higher up the faucet than the last time we used it. So, being the idiot that I am, I un-screwed it rather than just screwing it back down. Well, it seems there is a little white plastic "o" ring above the two rubber "o" rings on this faucet. When I took everything off, the faucet part just lifted out of the hole. I was able to get it screwed back down but it seems to be coming back up again already. Is this a problem that I need to get corrected at the dealer or just something that I should replace? Is it possible that a connection on the bottom of the faucet came loose, I didn't see any screws on the bottom of the faucet when I lifted it out of the base?

Was it leaking? The faucet spout fits into a hole in the base casting. The 2 rubber O-rings keep it from leaking and the plastic O-ring is what compresses the o-rings to form a tight seal when you crank down the packing nut around the bottom of the spout. There should be a lip formed around the bottom edge of the spout and would keep the spout from shooting out of the base casting under pressure.

I would throw the cheap plastic faucet in the trash, and go get a good one at Home Depot. They don't cost that much and you won't have to worry about i coming apart on a camping trip.

Greetings all....I had a similar problem with the kitchen faucet on our X19H. Water would shoot out of the base like a geyser when we were using it. I had some O-rings on hand for just such an instance, so I tried to fix it myself. It worked great for a week-long trip, but then acted up again. I took it to the dealer because it was still under warranty from Jayco. They have allegedly fixed it, but I haven't used it since I brought it home from the dealer. My question is: What Home Depot/Lowe's/Menard's faucet can I replace the stock faucet with, and is the mod an easy job to accomplish? Happy Camping!!!

Probably whichever one you'd like to put in there. Just remove your old one, measure the center to center distance of the holes in your sink and purchase one that has the same measurement. The inlet threads and configuration is the standard one that all faucets have.
