Light Over Kitchen Sink Failed

I full time and this fixture is used a lot. It has two F8T5 fluorescent bulbs which I had to replace a couple of years ago. This time is was the ballast so I replaced the entire fixture. It was a cheap made in China unit which definitely is a throw away fixture. The ballast compartment is sealed and the entire fixture is now in the trash.

I was looking for an LED unit as a replacement, but didn't find one that I liked and since this fixture when operating is only 1.4 amp, the power savings isn't enough to justify the cost to me. It would take this fixture a very long time to cause issues with my two 6 volt golf batteries.

Now what to do for the evening meal?

That fixture is on more than any other in our rig also. I had to replace the bulbs in another rig. They are not expensive compared to what we pay for LEDs .
